Home cooking again ...

Mom runs out if ideas sometimes ... so she made home-made konbu-bonito-shoyu-sake stock ...
Arranged all ingredients on a flat shallow claypot plate ...
Once it is chargilled perfectly and seared well on the underside ...
Then she pours in her home-made special stock into the claypot plate.

She has been reading too much about Japanese cooking and trying since she started learning Japanese culture and language.  Sometimes I wonder if it was because of that ... that she is confused with so many different techniques of cooking.  Still she loves cooking Japanese table cooking and village food.  Because it really test a person's patience, knife skills and attention to details.

While Dad will just put bowls and cutlery in all directions or even pairing of plates and cups, but Mom will shift here, move there, place here, turn it there ... too complicated!  Food is cold, Mom ... and I'm hungry already ... Koyuki ....
